We waited 1.5 years to write about the effectiveness of Mr. Sponge's technique and ultimate fix for our 6 wall fractures and complete rod hole replacement. My husband took months to thoroughly investigate all types of repair techniques. We had companys come out to the house, watched videos, went to home shows and got a range of prices from $3500 to $22,000! We chose Mr. Sponge and after 1.5 years of examining the effectiveness of the product and technique we are more than EXTREEMLY SATISFIED that we did! We had a very bad corner crack where water leaked in a steady small stream during very wet weather and were very concerned whether the technique world work on, or not. Since the job was completed we have had the dryest basement in all the the 11 years we have lived in the house. We waited to write this review so we could go through all four seasons of wet weather they produced. We could have spent $22,000 for a fix but didn't have to with Mr. Sponge! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

THE OWNERS OF MR. SPONGE WATERPROOFING, INC.

Mr Sponge Incorporated has its origins in a family-owned firm that was founded in Detroit Michigan in 1967. Basement waterproofing was just one of the commercial construction activities the firm offered. In 1995, Mr Sponge Corporation was created, built on the 28 year history of the previous firm but totally focused on basement waterproofing with polyurethane injection processes.

Completely (owner operated), Mr Sponge offers the expertise that’s grounded in experience. When we identify the site of water entry or determine how to inject SP-3 or other polyurethane’s, we’re basing our decisions on construction know-how.

We remain current in our field by maintaining memberships with nationally recognized building associations and participating in seminars and workshops that enhance our skills.

Our latest invention is the TRX Compressed Swell Plug developed for home owners to repair their own tie rod hole leaks.

THE MANAGING MEMBERS

KEITH POTTS

A licensed residential builder, Keith was affiliated with one of Michigan’s largest property management companies before joining Mr Sponge Inc. During the course of his career in the building trade, he has developed exceptional leak detection skills as well as special sealing techniques for leaks above and below ground. These are now part of the Mr Sponge services.

DEAN TEASTER

Mr Sponge Inc., was founded by Dean Teaster, who developed the firm using his in-depth research of high-pressure grouting and hands-on experience as a principal in a third generation basement waterproofing company that started in 1969. Dean and Keith developed the proprietary SP-3 that makes Mr Sponge Inc., unique in the market. With this SP-3 and the philosophy that the owners should do all the work, they ensure the best service possible. They maintain that same philosophy even to this day.

SHELLEY KUNZ

Mr Sponge Inc., was also founded by Shelley Kunz, who developed the firms accounting and office management from her years at ITW/Woodworth’s IT and Accounting Department. Her office management allows Mr. Sponge to retrieve original work files and warranties from 1995 to present at any time for over 67,000 work orders.
